I chose the name because of the yarn I used, Sunkissed from Scheepjes
US terms:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
I chained 51 chains as a foundation chain, but you can really use any odd number.
I just chained until I liked the width.
I used a 4 mm hook and used Sunkissed yarn that is a 4 ply yarn, but you can use any hook size that fits the yarn you choose, keep in mind that 100 % cotton is the best choice :)
My cloth, with the starting 51 chains, was around 27 cm in width.
In round 1 I alternated sc and hdc, starting from second ch from hook
(every ch worked except the first one, last chain will be hdc)
ch 1 and turn.
Round 2 is the one you will repeat through out the cloth, or until you get the length you like :)
In second chain from hook work 2 hdc, skip the next one, 2 hdc in the one after that and skip the next thereafter.
(2 hdc in the same stitch, in every other stitch)
ch 1 and turn
When you reach the length you like, repeat row 1 (but work in all stitches, start with sc and end with hdc), but make sure that you work odd number of rows so the first and the last round face the same way :)
I always work in the skipped loops from previous round.....be careful not to miss the last loop, it's small :)I worked 33 rounds (plus the first and last for a total of 35) and the cloth was about 27 cm x 24 cm
